During the weekend of June 8th-9th, we already had our last competition of the year: the NSTC Teams in Groningen. Split participated with 2 teams and despite some unlucky falls, we had a great time!

Together with a group of Splitters we went bouldering in Nijmegen! For some of us this was the first time in a bouldering hall, but thankfully there were also some people who did know what they were doing and it was great to receive tips from them.

Together with the other student gymnastics associations U-turn (Utrecht), Linea Recta (Enschede) and Pegasus (Delft) we participated in the Batavierenrace! This is the biggest relay race in the world in which the teams run all the way from Nijmegen to Enschede. As splitters, of course we love to train! But besides that, we also love social activities. On the 18th of April, ne of our most spectacular activities of the year took place: the Splitter Glitter Gala. This was an evening filled with dancing, drinks and friendship. The AC organized a very creative activity: glass painting! All members that joined, brought their own glass and let out their inner artist. All kinds of different designs were made: from sea monsters, delicious fruits to plants and of course a banana couldn’t be missed. In the second weekend of March Split joined the NSTC Jumping in Enschede and our team won the gold medal! We had so much fun during the competition and of course during the party afterwards!

Our unofficial BoCo (Borrel Committee) organized their very first ever activity: the Tour du Split! The evening started right after training. We gathered in front of the sports center to bike together to the first Splitter house. On November 24th-25th the NSTC2 took place! Eight Splitters travelled all the way to Rotterdam to the Fire&Ice themed competition. Everybody shined on the competition floor and eventually we took home five medals. On January 9, 2024, the yearly Christmas/New Year dinner took place, and let’s just say, it was amazing! The turnout was oceanic, and the organizers went all out to bring the theme ‘Under the Sea’ to life with a three-course meal. On the 5th of December the AC organised our yearly tradition of Splitterklaas. A group of Splitters signed up and came together to play a special game of “who am I?” and everyone went home with a little present to enjoy. It was an evening full of excitement and thankfulness!
